Lindsay Bennett

Lindsay Bennett is the Executive Director of the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (FORCE), Canada’s leading tidal energy research and demonstration facility. She brings more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of applied science, environmental stewardship, regulation, policy and industry to support the responsible development of marine renewable energy.

Located in the Bay of Fundy, FORCE provides the infrastructure, research and environmental monitoring needed to advance tidal energy technology in one of the world’s most energetic tidal environments. Since 2022, Lindsay has led the organization through a period of significant change and renewed momentum as Canada moves toward array-scale tidal deployment.

A member of Canada’s federal Tidal Energy Task Force, Lindsay has worked closely with regulators, Indigenous Rights Holders, technology developers and the research community to help align scientific evidence, regulatory decision-making and project deployment. She brings to the PAMEC Board a practical perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing marine energy development, along with a strong commitment to collaboration and knowledge exchange across the Americas.
