Registration is open for the 4th Pan-American Marine Energy Conference (PAMEC) that will bring together researchers, governments, and industry practitioners with an interest in marine and offshore renewable energy in the Americas (including the Caribbean). The PAMEC 2026 format focuses on scientific presentations in oral and poster form, with a series of pre-conference workshops. Plenary and keynote sessions will focus on progress on offshore renewables in the Americas and beyond, as well as forums that address challenges and opportunities in this area.

PAMEC 2026 is presented by the PAMEC Board of Directors, representing the countries of the Americas. PAMEC 2026 is part of the family of conferences on Marine Renewable Energy Research and Development including, the European Wave and Tidal Conference (EWTEC) and the Asian Wave and Tidal Conference (AWTEC) and is held bi-annually. The first PAMEC was held in 2020 in Costa Rica followed by PAMEC 2022 Mexico and PAMEC 2024 Colombia. PAMEC 2026 is led by Chair of the PAMEC 2026 Organizing Committee, Dr. Milad Shadman, Adjunct Professor at COPPE/UFRJ.
