Craig Chandler is a professional engineer based in Halifax, Canada with over 25 years
of experience in renewable energy, industrial development and environmental
management. For more than a decade, Craig has worked with marine renewable
energy researchers and technology developers to build partnerships and projects in
Canada, Europe, the Unites States and South America. Having worked both as part of
developers’ project execution teams and as an advisor to government, Craig has a deep
understanding of the challenges involved in the successful introduction of new
technologies in a marine environment.

Through regular participation in international conferences and expert workshops in
marine renewable energy, Craig has a broad network in the marine renewables sector
internationally. This includes workshops organized by OES Environmental and ORJIP
(UK), as well as attendance at most EWTEC, AWTEC and ICOE conferences in the
past decade.

Craig has been a member of PAMEC since the first conference in San José, Costa
Rica, and has attended both subsequent conferences in Ensenada, Mexico and
Barranquilla, Colombia. With a strong belief on the importance of sharing information,
skills and technology through the Americas, Craig sees the building of strong
relationships as the foundation advancing marine renewable energy projects.  He
continues to learn Spanish aided by his many helpful colleagues in the PAMEC family.
Craig’s education includes a degree in engineering from Dalhousie University in Nova
Scotia, Canada and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Guelph in
